This Creamy Spaghetti Chicken in Barbecue Sauce is my current favourite dish, and I have a hunch you will fall in love with it too! It is super easy to make, and oh-so-flavourful!
This is exactly the kind of family friendly meal that I both crave and rely on from week to week. It is such a nice spin on your average spaghetti in tomato sauce dish– something which we end up eating far too often due to a general lack of cooking inspiration!
Whilst super simple in its execution, its bold flavours and ability to please whoever is around the table is very hard to match. Plus, using a bunch of store-cupboard ingredients, this recipe is super affordable and serves 4 without breaking the bank.
Cream cheese adds a wonderful creamy finish that brings the final dish together.
Extra mature cheddar: This is just for a finishing touch so feel free to use whatever grated cheese you prefer.

Creamy Spaghetti with Chicken in Barbecue Sauce
Ingredients
300 grams of Boneless Chicken
Ginger Garlic Paste
Half a teaspoon of Salt
Half teaspoon Red Chilli Powder
Half teaspoon Crushed Black Pepper
1-2 teaspoon Oil
1 tablespoon Tomato Ketchup
1/4th teaspoon Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder
1 teaspoon of Apple Cider Vinegar
2 teaspoon Soya Sauce
Half teaspoon Sugar
1/4th teaspoon Crushed Black Pepper
Half a teaspoon of Garlic Powder
1 teaspoon Mustard Paste
2 teaspoon Honey
Pinch of Salt
1 tablespoon Oil
1 cup Milk -250 ml
4 tablespoons of Fresh Cream i.e. 1/4th cup
1/4th cup Processed Cheese
2 tablespoons of Chilli Sauce
2 cups of Spaghetti
Steps
1st step is to marinate the chicken pieces.
Take 300 grams of boneless chicken, wash it, cut it into small pieces, then add a little ginger garlic paste, half tsp salt, half tsp red chilli powder, half tsp crushed black pepper powder, 2 tbsp oil mix all these ingredients with the chicken pieces and marinate it for at least 15-20 minutes.
2nd step is to prepare the Barbecue Sauce.
Take 1 tbsp tomato ketchup in a bowl and add 1/4th tsp Kashmiri red chilli powder, 2 tsp apple cider vinegar, if apple cider vinegar is not available you can add normal vinegar or lemon juice) 2 tsp soya sauce, half tsp sugar or brown sugar, half tsp garlic powder, 1/4th tsp crushed black pepper,1 tsp mustard paste, 2 tsp honey, A Pinch of salt and mix all these ingredients well .Your barbecue sauce is ready.
3rd step is to cook the chicken.
In a pan heat 2 tbsp oil then add the marinated chicken and sauté the chicken on high flame keep stirring for 3-4 minutes then reduce the flame cover it and cook it on low flame for 5-6 minutes.
Do not add water, let the chicken cook in its own juices till the chicken is tender.
After cooking it for 5-7 minutes increase the flame and keep stirring the chicken till all the water is absorbed, the chicken turns dry and brown spots appear on it.
Keep stirring continuously when the brown spots appear on the chicken pieces then off the flame.
After turning off the flame add the Barbecue Sauce to the chicken and mix it properly, then cover and let it rest.
4th Step is to cook the creamy sauce for the spaghetti.
Heat 1 cup milk in a kadai when it comes to a boil, reduce the flame, add 4 tbsp fresh cream, 1/4th cup processed cheese mix it with the milk till the cheese and cream are melted properly with the milk and the mixture turns a little thick, then add 2 tbsp chili sauce and 2 cups of boiled Spaghetti.
Stir it or low flame with light hands for 1-2 minutes, till the spaghetti is covered by all the creamy sauce and then off the flame.
Serve this creamy spaghetti with barbecue chicken.
Honestly this is already quite a hearty dinner, so do not feel like you must serve with a side. But you can serve it with garlic bread or cheesy bread.

Points to Remember *Seasoning the chicken is a must, it is one of the main ingredients so needs to shine. As it will inject more flavour into the sauce. * The star ingredient is the barbecue sauce, so make sure it is a good quality sauce if you are using readymade market sauce. *Use olive oil for better taste and results. *Adjust the quantity of chilli sauce according to your taste.
