An extremely simple and easy instant breakfast recipe prepared with semolina, curd, and vegetables. It is basically an instant version of a traditional recipe that is prepared using traditional leftover dosa or idli batter. It carries the crunchiness of sooji, yet due to the yogurt, it has softness inside and thus presents an enjoyable experience when served with spicy chutney.

This is basically an instant or cheat version of the traditional appe or paniyaram made with ingredients like rava, yogurt, and a combination of vegetables. The traditional appe batter is prepared with rice and urad dal batter which is initially used for dosa or idli and later . However, this recipe of instant sooji appe or rava paniyaram is made with semolina and yogurt with baking soda for hasting the fermentation process.

Rava Appam With Dry Peanut Chutney
Ingredients
1 cup Semolina
Half cup Curd
Half teaspoon Salt
Half teaspoon Sugar
Half cup Water
Half teaspoon Eno Fruit Salt
Peanut Chutney Ingredients
Half cup Peanuts
4 to 5 Dry Red Chilli
6 to 7 Garlic Cloves
Salt to taste
3 tablespoon Curd
3 tablespoon Oil
Half teaspoon Mustard Seeds
1 Dry Red Chilli
8 to 10 Curry Leaves
Steps
Take 1 cup semolina, half cup curd, half tsp salt, half tsp sugar, half cup water, in a mixer and grind it into a fine paste.
Cover it and keep aside.
To prepare the chutney; Dry roast half cup peanuts in a pan for 10-12 minutes on medium flame.
Let the roasted peanuts cool down, then crush them with light hands to peel the coating of peanuts.
Soak 4-5 dry red chilli in water for half an hour.
Take the uncoated peanuts add soaked dried red chillies, 6-7 garlic, 3 tbsp curd, grind all these ingredients into a fine paste.
Your Peanut Chutney is ready.
Lets prepare the Tempering; Heat 3 tbsp oil, add half tsp mustard seeds , let it splutter then add 1 dry red chilli, 8-10 curry leaves then off the flame.
Now pour this hot tempering on the chutney.
Check the Appam batter mix until a smooth flowing consistency batter is formed.
Now add half tsp Eno Fruit Salt and mix gently.
Heat a tawa to roast the Appam.
Once the batter turns frothy, immediately pour half cup of the batter over the hot tawa.
Keep the flame on medium to high and cook until the top of Appam is cooked completely.
Prepare the remaining Appam in the same manner.
Finally, enjoy Instant Rava Appam with homemade delicious and healthy Peanut Chutney.

Tips *Firstly, make sure to soak the rava (semolina) well.
