The creamiest Bang Bang chicken EVERRR…
Bang Bang sauce is a spicy-sweet mayonnaise-based sauce consisting of mayo, sriracha sauce, sweet chili sauce, and vinegar. It is traditionally used to coat Bang Bang Chicken and is also served on the side with that dish. The name of this sauce is based on the Bonefish Grill restaurant chain.
Bang bang chicken is prepared by poaching or steaming chicken. The cooked chicken is banged with the Mayo sauce to make it amazingly delicious!
This is one of those recipes that is so good, you will be demanding all of your friends and family make it, just so you can talk with them about how good it is! No stove splatter, minimal prep time, minimal washing up and perfectly cooked chicken with a caramelised, crispy glaze. You can serve this meal with just about anything, but will bang it with salads and steamed rice to soak up all of the delicious roasting juices.
The chicken is marinated in simple pantry ingredients, before being brushed with a drool-worthy “bang bang sauce” (a mix of whole-egg mayonnaise and sweet chilli sauce) and oven-baked. If you think mayonnaise in a marinade sounds weird, this recipe will change that forever. The flavour is just AMAZING. I have made this for dinner several times in the last few weeks because it is just so quick and easy. Marinate the chicken, pop it in the oven and then dinner is on the table in less than 30 minutes, with minimal effort and minimal time spent in the kitchen. Hooray for simple, delicious dinners!
