Chicken Mac n Cheese Balls
Ingredients
• 1 cup Macaroni
• 250 gms boneless chicken
• 2 tbsp butter
• 2 tbsp all purpose flour
• 250 ml milk
• Salt to taste
• 1 tsp white pepper powder
• 2 triangles soft cheese
• Mozzarella cheese
• All purpose flour
• 1 egg beaten
• Panko bread crumbs
Steps
• Boil 1 cup macaroni with salt and half tsp oil for 5 to 6 minutes. Strain the water out. • Boil chicken using salt and 1 tsp ginger garlic paste. Shred the chicken in fine pieces. • In a pan, add butter, add all purpose flour after the butter melts. • On medium flame, roast the flour well with the butter. The colour of flour shouldn’t change (overcook or burnt). • After 2 to 3 minutes, pour milk in the pan and keep stirring with another hand. • Stir well until you get thick consistency. Make sure there are no formation of chunk-like in the mixture. • Add salt, white pepper powder, 2 triangle cheese and blend everything on low flame. • Note – use less salt as our recipe includes butter and cheese, which already has salt present in them. • Add boiled macaroni in the sauce, shredded chicken and mix it very well. • Remove the mixture in another bowl and let it cool down. • To make balls, grease oil on hand, take a portion of mixture and flatten it out on hand. • Place mozzarella cheese in the centre and press it into ball-like shape. • Make balls with the entire mixture and freeze them for 10 minutes. • Note – While freezing, assemble them in straight line. Do not jumble them on top of each other as it can cause them to stick. • Dust the ball in all purpose flour, dip into beaten egg and next cover the ball with panko bread crumbs. • Deep fry all the balls and serve them hot.
