Ingredients for Fish Masala Fry Recipe

2 Tsp Ginger Garlic Paste

2 Tbsp Coriander Powder

1 Tbsp Red Chilli Powder

Salt To Taste

1/2 Tsp Turmeric Powder

2 Tsp Lemon Juice

1 Tbsp Water

2 Black Pomfret

2 Tbsp Oil

1 Tsp Chopped Garlic

2 Green Chilli Slits

10-12 Curry Leaves

1 Onion

2 Tbsp Water

1 Tomato Puree

4-5 Tbsp Oil

1/2 Cup Water

Pinch of Garam Masala Powder

Few Coriander Leaves

Steps for Fish Masala Fry Recipe

1. For Marinating- In a large bowl take Ginger Garlic Paste, Coriander Powder, Red Chilli Powder, Salt, Turmeric Powder and Lemon Juice. Mix all the spices and add water in it. Make a paste that can easily spread over the fish.

2. Marinate black Pomfret with the prepared spices paste for 15 to 20 minutes (wash and dry the fish thoroughly).Keep the extra spices paste aside for the gravy.

3. For gravy-In a pan heat 2 Tbsp Oil add chopped garlic and sauté for half a minute. Add Green Chillies (optional), Curry Leaves and sauté for half a minute on low flame.

4. Add chopped Onions and fry until they turn golden in color. Add the extra spices paste in the pan (Add 2-3 Tbsp water in the spices).Roast it on high flame for 2-3 minutes.

5. Add tomato puree in the mixture. Cover and cook for 8-10 minutes till the Tomatoes is cooked properly.

6. Once the spices are roast properly and tomatoes are cooked. Add ½ cup water in the mixture and let it boil.

7. Add pinch of Garam Masala and mix everything well on low flame.

8. Meanwhile we have heated 4 Tbsp oil for frying. Put fish for fry on high flame for 2-3 minutes until it is brown from both sides.

9. Put the fried fish carefully on the gravy and extra oil that was left while frying the fish (This oil enhance the flavor of the dish).

10. Gently turn the fish to other side. Cook it on low flame for 1-2 minutes and off the flame. The consistency of gravy is neither too thick nor watery.

11. Garnish it with Coriander Leaves and it is ready to serve.
