Gajar Halwa with Milk Powder Recipe

One of the most popular desserts made in winters. Mostly Gajar Halwa is served along with Vanilla Ice-cream which taste delicious.

Ingredients for Gajar Halwa with Milk Powder Recipe

1 kg Carrots

1/4 Cup Milk

Pinch of Cardamom Powder

Some Strands of Saffron

2 Cups Milk Powder

1/2 Cup Melted Ghee

Chopped Dry Fruits

Little Ghee

Steps for Gajar Halwa with Milk Powder Recipe

1. Take 1 kg Carrots and chopped it in a food processor/Chopper.

2. In a pressure cooker put the chopped Carrot, Milk, Pinch of Cardamom Powder, some strands of Saffron and mix everything well.

3. Cover the lid of pressure cooker and cook for 2-3 whistle on high flame.

4. In a bowl take 2 cup Milk Powder, add ½ cup melted Ghee and mix it well.

5. After 3 whistle the carrot is cooked properly and open the lid. Let it cook for 4-5 minutes on high flame until all the water has evaporated.

6. Add Milk Powder Mixture in the Carrot while keeping the flame low. Mix everything with a light hand. Cover it with the lid and let it cook for 5-7 minutes on low flame.

7. After 7 minutes, mix everything well again on high flame until the whole halwa mixture becomes dry. Add ½ cup Sugar and chopped Dry Fruits.

8. Mix it well and let the water gets evaporated completely as sugar leaves water.

9. Add pinch of Saffron, Cardamom Powder and let it cook for 4-5 minutes on high flame.

10. Add 1 Tsp Ghee and cook for 2 minutes. Garnish with chopped Dry Fruits and is ready to serve.
