Ingredients
4 Cups of Sugar
1 litre Water
½ Tsp Cardamom Powder
1 Tsp Rose Water
Pinch of Saffron
1 Tsp Lemon Juice
3 Cups Milk Powder
2 Tsp Baking Powder
4 Tbsp of All Purpose Flour
2 Tsp Pure Ghee
Little less than one cup of warm milk

To prepare the sweet syrup (chaashni), combine sugar and water in a pan. Into it, add elaichi powder, rose water ,a pinch of saffron and lemon juice.
Put the pan onto the flame and mix the chaashni well. Then, lower the flame and simmer chaashni for around 10 minutes into a thick syrup. Keep it aside
For the gulab jamun, take full cream milk powder in a bowl. Add in maida, baking powder, ghee and mix lightly with fingertips.
Next, pour in lukewarm milk, little at a time and mix into the dough. Do not knead the dough. Simply combine the ingredients together. Ensure that the dough is soft and not hard. Keep aside for 10 minutes
Grease palms with a little ghee and make balls out of the dough. The balls should have a smooth finish with no cracks.
Fry the balls on low flame (the oil should not be too hot) until golden brown
Put the balls straight into warm chaashni ( if the chaashni has cooled down, warm it up again). Cover the balls and set aside.
