Keema Aloo Recipe
Ingredients
½ Cup Oil
2 Bay Leaves
2 Sticks of cinnamon
3 Green Cardamoms
4 Cloves
1 Tbsp Chopped Garlic
2 finely chopped onions
2 Tbsp Ginger Garlic Paste
Salt to taste
500 gms Minced Mutton
2 Finely Chopped Tomatoes
2 tsp Chilli Powder
1 tsp Turmeric Powder
1 Tsp cumin powder
2 tbsp Coriander Powder
300 ml water
6 small Potatoes cut into half
1 Tbsp Dried Fenugreek leaves
½ Tsp Garam Masala Powder
2 whole green chillies
some Coriander Leaves
Steps
1. Wash, drain and dry minced meat.
2. Heat oil in a pressure cooker. Add Bay leaves, cinnamon, green cardamom, cloves, add chopped garlic and Saute for 10 seconds, add finely chopped onions and cook until Golden. Add ginger garlic paste and salt and cook on low flame till the raw smell disappears. Mix minced meat and saute, stirring continuously on high flame for 3 to 4 minutes until all the moisture has dried from the minced meat.
3. Add finely chopped tomatoes chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, cumin powder and mix well. Close the lid of the pressure cooker and cook on high flame till 2 whistles. Note: Do not add water.
4. Open the lid and cook the minced meat on high flame till oil separates. Add 300 ml water, potatoes, dried fenugreek leaves, garam masala powder, green chillies, (use as per your taste). Pressure cook again on high flame till 2 whistles. Aloo keema is ready to serve.
Note. 1. You can adjust the quantity of water according to the amount of gravy you prefer. 2. You can cut the potatoes into any size and shape you prefer.
