Ingredients
1 Cup split green gram
7-8 Garlic Cloves
3 Green Chillies
½Tsp black pepper powder
Salt to Taste
1Tsp Chilli Flakes
1Tsp Cumin Powder
1Tbsp Crushed Coriander Seeds
3-4Tbsp Spring Onions
1Chopped Onion
4Tbsp Semolina
Oil for frying
Steps
1. First step is to soak a cup of split Green Gram (around 200gms) in water for 2 to 3 hours. Later drain the water and give a good rinse.
2. Now grind Garlic Cloves and Green Chillies in a mixer grinder, add drained Green Gram and again grind it coarsely. The batter needs to be thick.
3. Remove the batter in a bowl, add Black Pepper powder, Salt, Chilli Flakes, Cumin Powder, Crushed Coriander Seeds, Spring Onions (optional), finely Chopped Onion and lastly add Semolina (Semolina are used for binding and crispiness of the Vadas).
4. Mix everything well and cover it with the lid for 10 minutes.
5. Grease your hands with little oil and make round shape Vadas.
6. Meanwhile we have heated oil for frying. Only when the oil is heated properly, put all the Vadas for fry. Now Keep it on medium flame. When one side turns Golden brown, flip and fry the other side.
7. Enjoy delicious Moong Dal Vada with Green Mint Chutney.
