Chicken Banjara Kabab
Ingredients
• 1 tbsp sesame seeds
• 3 tbsp cashew nuts
• 1/2 cup hung curd
• 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
• 2 tbsp lemon juice
• 1 tbsp green chilli paste
• 1 & ½ tsp garam masala powder
• 1 tbsp cumin powder
• 2 tsp red chilli powder
• black salt
• salt to taste
• 3 tbsp oil
• 750 gm boneless chicken
Steps
1. To begin, keep a piece of coal on the flame and let it heat.
2. For the chicken marinade, make a fine powder out of the sesame seeds and cashew powder.
3. In a large bowl, add in the prepared powder, hung curd, ginger garlic paste, lemon juice, green chilli paste, garam masala powder, red chilli powder, some black salt and some regular salt and oil. Mix all these ingredients together.
4. Cut the boneless chicken into small pieces. Wash and dry them.
5. Add the chicken pieces into the marinade and coat the pieces well.
6. Make a small space in the large bowl with the chicken and put in a small bowl with the heated coal in the centre.
7. Pour a tsp of oil on the heated coal and cover immediately. Let in marinate for atleast an hour.
8. 15 minutes before you are ready to make the kababs, soak the skewers in water to prevent them from burning.
9. When the chicken is done marinating, remove the small bowl with the coal in it and mix the chicken well one more time.
10. Attach the chicken pieces onto the skewers and grill on a greased grill pan/tandoor for 3-4 mins on both sides. Sprinkle s a little oil on both the sides.
11. Turn off the flame and the banjara kabab is ready to serve!
