Chicken Lollipop is one of our all time favourite dish. It is our favourite appetiser to order whenever we drop by any restaurant. I make it occasionally at home, because I do not find this often in the frozen section.
Chicken lollipop also known as lollipop chicken, Chicken Drums of heaven is a popular restaurant style appetizer. It is usually served two ways, marinated chicken deep fried just like chicken 65. Second version includes tossing the fried chicken in a spicy sauce.
Chicken lollipop is nothing but legs of chicken cut in such a way it forms like a lollipop shape. You can easily get pre cut chicken lollipop in most grocery store. These cuts of chicken lollipop marinated in masala and fried till crispy and juicy. This taste amazing when served with tomato ketchup of any sweet and tangy sauce.

500 grams Chicken Lollipops
1 Egg White
1 teaspoon Ginger Garlic Paste
2 teaspoon Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder
1 teaspoon Light Soya Sauce
2 teaspoon Red Chilli Sauce
Half teaspoon Vinegar
Half teaspoon Salt
3 tablespoon Corn Flour
1 tablespoon Oil
1 tablespoon Garlic
Half table spoon Ginger
2 tablespoon Onions
1 tablespoon Red Chilli Paste
2 tablespoon Schezwan Sauce
2 tablespoon Tomato Ketchup
Half teaspoon Soya Sauce
Half teaspoon Vinegar
Half teaspoon Cornflour
2 tablespoon Water

Steps
Take 500 grams chicken lollipops, wash it, pat dry then add 1 egg white, 1 tsp ginger garlic paste, 2 tsp kashmiri red chilli powder, 1 tsp light soya sauce, 2 tsp red chilli sauce, half tsp vinegar, half tsp salt mix it till well combined and marinate it for atleast half or one hour.
Then after 1 hour add 3 tbsp corn flour mix it well.
Deep fry all the chicken lollipops on medium to low flame for 6 to 7 minutes till done.
Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan, add 1 tbsp chopped garlic, half tbsp chopped ginger sauté for half a minute then add 2 tbsp chopped onions (this is the white part of Spring onions) fry the onions till soft then add tbsp red chilli paste 2 tbsp Schezwan sauce, 2 tbsp tomato ketchup, half tsp soya sauce, half tsp vinegar sauté on medium flame.
Take half tsp cornflour mix it in 2 tbsp water, pour it in the cooking sauce then cook on low flame keep stirring till it the sauce starts thickening.
Then add some chopped spring onion greens, then add the fried lollipops into the sauce and toss the lollipops till well coated with the sauce then off the flame.
Serve it hot with any chutney or Fried Rice.

Tips *Do not fry the chicken on high else the outer coating will burn before the centre is cooked through. *Once chicken is fried. Strain it on some paper towel. *Adjust Chilli according to your taste.
