Protein is one of the most crucial macronutrients in our daily requirement. For a good
functioning, we need to fuel our body with it in adequate amount each day.

cells. Insufficiency of protein in the body can lead to a weak immune system, weight loss, and
slow growth of the body among others.
To ensure we consume the right amount of protein in our diet every day, a lot of us turn to
protein powders. A lot of those who work out every day drink a lot of protein based drinks to
build their muscles. Those who are on a weight loss diet also consume protein powder in heavy
quantity.

Ingredients
40 Lotus Seeds (makhanas)
1 tbsp Sesame Seeds
1 tbsp Fennel Seeds
1 tbsp Melon Seeds
1 tbsp Flax Seeds (alsi)
25 Almonds
6 piece Walnuts
1 piece Cinnamon
½ tsp White Pepper Powder
Steps
Preheat a pan on low flame roast the lotus seeds in it by stirring on low flame for 3 to 4 minutes till it turns crispy and turns a little brown. When done remove them and put in a bowl. This lotus seeds are rich in antioxidants and micro nutrients. lt reduces ageing and support heart health.
Now in the same pan roast sesame seeds on low flame for a minute; do not roast it too much as it turns black; when done transfer it to the lotus seeds bowl. Sesame seeds are rich in phytosterols (low blood cholesterol) and is a good source of calcium, magnesium and phosphorus.
Now in the same pan roast fennel seeds till crispy for 1 to 2 minutes on low flame, so that it can be easily grinded. When done transfer it to the bowl in which lotus seeds and sesame seeds were added. Fennel seeds reduce blood pressure, purify blood and are good for skin and asthma patients.
Now in the same pan roast melon seeds for a minute on low flame. When done transfer it to the same bowl of lotus seeds, sesame seeds and fennel seeds. Melon seeds boost immunity and controls sugar levels. It is an excellent source of proteins and vitamins.
Now in the same pan roast flax for a minute, cover it with a lid because it will start popping and stir it occasionally, roast it until it stops popping. When done transfer it to the bowl of lotus seeds, sesame seeds, fennel seeds and melon seeds. Flax seeds help in reducing weight, high in fiber and reduce cancer risk.
In the same pan roast almonds for half a minute keep stirring then add walnuts to it and roast for another half a minute by stirring occasionally, then put cinnamon and roast all of them for another minute till crispy; all these need to roasted on low flame. When done transfer it into the bowl. Almonds are high in calcium. Walnuts are good for memory boosting. Cinnamon boost metabolism and reduces inflammation.
Now add white pepper powder to the bowl in which all the seeds and nuts are placed.
Allow all the seeds and nuts too cool; when cool down grind them into a fine powder.
Now let see how to consume this energy powder. Take a glass of hot milk add half tsp of this powder for kids and 1 tsp for adults and mix it properly. If you need it to sweeten add little jaggery powder to the milk, mix it and drink it.
