Ingredients
500 gram Boneless Chicken
1 teaspoon Black Pepper
Salt
1 tablespoon Light Soya Sauce
1 teaspoon Garlic paste
2 tablespoons of Corn Flour
2 tablespoon Honey
2 teaspoon Brown Sugar
1 teaspoon Vinegar
2 teaspoon Soya Sauce
2 teaspoon Tomato Ketchup
Half cup Water +1 teaspoon Corn Flour
1-2 tablespoon Oil
2 tablespoon Oil
1 tablespoon of Garlic
Half teaspoon White Pepper Powder
Steps
1st step is to marinate the chicken;
Take 500 grams of boneless chicken, cut them into small cube pieces, add 1 tsp black pepper, salt, 1 tbsp light soya sauce, 1 tsp garlic paste, 2 tbsp corn flour, mix it cover and marinate it for half an hour.
2nd step is to prepare the honey sauce;
In a bowl take two tablespoon Honey, 2 tsp brown sugar,1 tsp vinegar, 2 tsp soya sauce, 2 tsp tomato ketchup mix it well and keep aside for further use.
3rd step is to prepare the slurry;
Take half cup water, add 1 tsp cornflour mix it and keep aside for further use.
4th step is to cook the chicken;
Heat 2 tbsp oil in a pan, add the marinated chicken and fry it on high flame for 3-4 minutes, then cover and cook on low flame for 5 minutes.
Do not add any water as chicken releases water, after 5 minutes check the chicken if there is any water left in the chicken fry it on high flame to dry up the water.
5th step is to cook the honey sesame sauce;
Heat 2 tbsp of oil in a pan, add 1 tbsp tablespoon of chopped garlic, sauté it for 1 minute on low flame till the colour of the garlic changes.
Then add the prepared honey sauce and keep stirring it for half a minute, add 1/2 tsp white pepper powder, keep mixing for half a minute till the sauce thickens.
Add 2 tbsp of water and cornflour slurry, keep stirring and mixing till the cornflour is cooked and the sauce starts to become thicker for 2 to 3 minutes.
Then add the cooked chicken, some spring onion leaves and toss the chicken with the sauce on medium flame for 1 to 2 minutes till the chicken is fully coated with the sauce.
Keep the gravy consistency by your choice.
Then turn off the flame and sprinkle some sesame seeds on the gravy.
Your Honey Sesame Chicken is ready to serve.
Serve your sesame chicken immediately as the crispy coating will start to soften when it hits the sauce.
Serve this sesame chicken over steamed rice or fried rice.
Other great options are quinoa, chowmein noodles, or zucchini noodles.
Points to Remember *Use fresh chicken breast meat. * If you want it to be a little spicy you can add some green chillies while cooking. * Serve it immediately after cooking or the chicken pieces may soften in the sauce.
