Ingredients
2 Tbsp Peanuts
2 Tbsp Desiccated Coconut
2 Tbsp Sesame Seeds
1 Tsp Cumin
2 Tsp Coriander Seeds
4 Dried Round Red Chillies
1 Tsp Oil
1 Onion
250 gms Chillies
3-4 Tbsp Oil
1 Tsp Mustard Seeds
1/2 Tsp Cumin
10-12 Curry Leaves
1 Tsp Ginger Garlic Paste
2 Tsp Red Chilli Powder
1/2 Tsp Turmeric Powder
Puree Of 1 Tomato
1/2 Cup Water
1 & ½ Tsp Salt
1 Cup Water
2 Tbsp Tamarind Pulp
Steps
1. Heat a pan, add Peanuts and roast it for 2- 3 minutes. Add Desiccated Coconut, Sesame Seeds, Cumin, Coriander Seeds and Dried Round Red Chillies. Roast everything for a minute on low flame. Remove in a bowl to cool down.
2. Heat oil in a same pan, add Sliced Onion and sauté until translucent. After a minutes add the onion in roasted ingredients.
3. Blend all the above ingredients in a fine paste by adding ½ cup of Water.
4. Take 250gms Chillies and slit it from the centre. Heat 4 Tbsp oil in a pan, fry all the Chillies on high flame for 4-5 minutes. Remove the Chillies in a plate.
5. In the same Oil, add Mustard Seeds, Cumin, Curry Leaves, Ginger Garlic Paste, Red Chilli Powder and Turmeric Powder. Roast all the Masalas for a minute on low flame.
6. Add Tomato puree and roast it for 4-5 minutes. Now add blended paste, ½ cup Water and Salt. Roast everything for 10-15 minutes on low flame.
7. Add 1 cup Water and Tamarind Pulp. Let it boil on high flame. Add fried Chillies and let it cook for 5-7 minutes on low flame.
8. Spicy and Tangy Hyderabadi Mirchi ka Salan is ready to serve with Rice.
