Indo-Chinese Chilli Chicken with Lemon Garlic Rice
2 servings 45 mins50–60 minutes
Today, we are making delicious Indo-Chinese Chilli Chicken served with flavourful Lemon Garlic Rice. This combination is slightly different from the usual chilli chicken and fried rice, offering a refreshing twist to your everyday meal.
The best part of this recipe is that the chicken is not deep-fried. Instead, it is cooked in a pan until tender and then tossed in a spicy, tangy, and savoury sauce made with garlic, ginger, Kashmiri chilli paste, soy sauce, tomato ketchup, and vinegar. Onion petals, capsicum, and spring onion add a wonderful crunch and colour to the dish.
The Lemon Garlic Rice is equally delicious, prepared with boiled basmati rice, chopped garlic, butter, chilli flakes, oregano, fresh coriander, and lemon juice. The combination of zesty lemon and aromatic garlic perfectly balances the spicy chicken.
This homemade Indo-Chinese meal is ideal for lunch, dinner, office lunch boxes, college tiffins, and meal preparation. You can prepare the rice and chicken in advance to make busy mornings easier. Adjust the spice level according to your preference and enjoy a wholesome, restaurant-style meal at home.
Try this easy Chilli Chicken with Lemon Garlic Rice recipe and serve your family a delicious meal without deep-frying the chicken.
