Kaleji Fry is a mouth watering delicacy that can be enjoyed as an appetizer or with rotis and parathas,

Ingredients for Kaleji Fry

250 gm liver

500 ml water

1 tbsp white vinegar

1 tbsp salt

1 tsp chilli powder

1 tsp coriander powder

Â½ tsp turmeric powder

Â½ tsp cumin powder

1 tsp ginger garlic paste

3-4 tbsp oil

10-12 garlic pieces

1 green chilli

Â¼ tsp garam masala powder

Coriander leaves

Mint leaves

1 tbsp water

Steps for Kaleji Fry

â€¢ Take 250 gms liver and cut it into small square pieces.

â€¢ To clean the liver, make a solution containing 500 ml water, 1 tbsp white vinegar and 1 tbsp salt . Soak the liver pieces in this for 10-15 mins and then rinse twice with warm water.

â€¢ For marination, take 1 tsp chilli pd, 1 tsp coriander pd, Â½ tsp turmeric pd and Â½ tsp cumin pd and add them to the liver pieces.

â€¢ Now add 1 tsp ginger garlic paste and mix all the ingredients properly.

â€¢ In a tawa, heat 3-4 tbsp oil and add 10 -12 chopped garlic cloves in it.

â€¢ Saute the garlic till it turns golden brown and then add the marinated liver pieces (kaleji).

â€¢ Add 1 green chilli chopped and turn the flame low.

â€¢ Take care that the kaleji doesnâ€™t get over cooked or else it can become hard and unpalatable.

â€¢ Mix all the ingredients on the tawa properly and cook on medium flame for 7-8 mins while stirring at regularly intervals.

â€¢ Now add salt to taste, Â¼ tsp garam masala pd, chopped coriander leaves and mint leaves.

â€¢ Cook for another 1-2 mins and add 1 tbsp water.

â€¢ Simmer for another 30 secs and close the flame.

â€¢ Garnish with more coriander leaves and serve with lemon.
