Rava Appam with Peanut Chutney Recipe
Ingredients
1 Cup Semonlina
1/2 Cup Curd
1/2 Tsp Salt
1/2 Tsp Sugar
1/2 Cup Water
1/2 Tsp Eno Fruit Salt
FOR PEANUT CHUTNEY
1/2 Cup Peanut
4-5 Dried Red Chillies
6-7 Garlic Cloves
Salt to taste
3Tbsp Curd
2 Tsp Oil
1/2 Tsp Mustard Seeds
1 Dried Red Chilli
8-10 Curry Leaves
Steps
1. In a blender jar, add Semolina, Curd, Salt, Sugar, Water and blend everything in a proper batter. Cover it with lid and keep aside for 10 minutes.
2. In a pan take 1/2 cup Peanut and roast it for a while. Remove the skin of the nuts. Take peanuts in a bowl, 4-5 Dried Red Chillies (Soak the Red Chillies in water for 1/2 hour),Garlic cloves and Salt. Grind everything in a fine paste by adding curd gradually.
3. Heat 2 Tsp oil in a pan, add Mustard seeds, Dried Red Chilli and Curry Leaves. Pour it on the Peanut Chutney.
4. In the Appam batter, add 1/2 Tsp ENO Fruit Salt. Put it only while making the Appam, Whisk the batter gently.
5. Once the batter turns frothy, immediately pour over the hot pan.
6. Keep the flame on high and cook until the top of Appam is cooked completely and the other side is turn golden in color.
